About Social Good Place
Opened in 2025, Social Good Place is a project of Social Good Fund, a fiscal sponsor organization.
Just as Social Good Fund streamlines the structure behind nonprofit work, Social Good Place supports the people doing it. Here, nonprofit startups, values-driven workers and soloprenuers, community-rooted projects, and established organizations come together to collaborate, celebrate, and grow. We provide the space, community, and connections that make meaningful work more sustainable — and more joyful.
Our staff has extensive experience working in the nonprofit sector, business development, and community organizing. Not only do we have a passion for Portland and its culture of social change, we also have a passion for supporting the people who make that change.

Why Portland
Portland is a special city. We’re a city of people who see a problem, and get to fixing it. We’re a city of convictions, praxis, and the language of change. We’re a city of authentic individuality mixed with community action. We’re imperfect, but always striving – and we don’t buy into others’ expectations of what “success” looks like.
When Social Good Fund conceptualized Social Good Place, Portland was the obvious choice, and Portland continues to prove itself as a city that cares (and a city whose people do the right thing), even when faced with immense hardship.
Our hope is to support the good work Portlanders are already doing, accumulate it, and amplify it – while inspiring others to start their own mission-based projects!
